1.6.11 Provisions

A provision is recognized when the company has a present obligation as a result of past event i.e.,
it is probable that an outflow of resources embodying economic benefits will be required to settle
the obligation in respect of which a reliable estimate of the amount of the obligation can be
made.

Provisions are not discounted to their present value and are determined based on best estimate
required to settle the obligation at the balance sheet date. These are reviewed at each reporting
date and adjusted to reflect the current best estimates. If it is no longer probable that an outflow
of resources would be required to settle the obligation, the provision is reversed.

1.6.12 Contingent Liabilities

events, the existence of which will be confirmed only by the occurrence or non-occurrence of one
or more uncertain future events not wholly within the control of the Company or a present

resources embodying economic benefits will be required to settle or a reliable estimate of
amount cannot be made.

The Company has an outstanding disputed Income Tax demand of ^788.69 lakhs for the
Assessment Year 22-23 arising out of additions made under Section 68 and Section 41(1)
of the Income Tax Act, 1961. The Company has contested the assessment and filed an
appeal before the CIT(Appeals).

required to pre-deposit 10% of the disputed demand (amounting to ^78.87 lakhs) in 10
monthly instalments. As on 31st March 2026, the Company deposited 7 installments
aggregating to amount of ^ 54.25 lakhs (PY: ^ 29.62) towards the pre-deposit.
